Sammie Ross Armstrong

 Sammie Ross Armstrong was the former President and Owner of Ray & Ross Transport, Inc., a 100% Black-owned company that operated out of Las Vegas, Nevada for over 25 years. At one time it was the largest Black-owned business in Nevada and grew into an internationally recognized multi-million dollar enterprise. 

 

 Ray & Ross routinely offered employment to disadvantaged applicants and provided on-the-job training and produced many fine professionals. 

In retirement Sam set up the first horse chapter of Las Vegas Buffalo Soldiers 9th & 10th Cavalry. The members regularly present school programs to educate students about the history of those brave soldiers. 

 

 His latest endeavor was to establish this Foundation. He recently completed his autobiography, Keep on Rollin - From owning one of the largest bus lines to damn near sleeping in one. It is available in three formats on Amazon and all sales proceeds go to fund the Foundation’s scholarships. His vision was to see more Minority young people infuse more integrity into the political arena and make a difference in the future of our great Nation.
